Lalpari Cloves are the aromatic dried flower buds picked from the evergreen clove tree Syzygium aromaticum. Cloves though native to the Maluku Islands in Indonesia are commercially harvested in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Tanzania. The clove tree is characterized by green leaves and clusters of crimson flowers. These flower buds originally have a pale hue but gradually they turn green and then to a bright red when they are harvested.
